For safety reasons, concrete is not advised for use as the actual play surface underneath a swing set. However, Concrete provides the best foundation for anchoring posts.
HOW TO STEPS
Purchase a set of flat ground anchors that fit each of the four legs of the set
Place the swing set with anchors attached in the place where you’d like to secure it
Pre-drill all necessary holes into the concrete
Tap lag shields down into the pre-drilled holes
Use lag screws to fasten the anchor to the concrete through the lag shields
IMPORTANT NOTES:
Drilling into base materials like concrete requires the use of a hammer drill. The hammer drill must be switched to the hammer and rotation mode to achieve optimum drilling performance. You will also need to use an appropriate size masonry drill bit. If you're a beginner, we recommend reading our "How To Drill Into Concrete" post, available as a post on our website.
